| I have been out of the dating scene about 12 years now and I am just curious...is romance gone forever replaced by the ever present booty call and shallow one liners? I hate to sound old or old fashioned but am I just that out of touch or are there really people still meeting and falling in love rather than swapping emails and "hooking up"....

And if you figure 20 miles to the gallon.. about 4 bucks per gallon thats only just shy of 300 dollars in gas. Yeah.. Drop in the bucket really!

| Iowa is pretty laid back (gas is 3.09) but the bar scene is nothing of what I remembered it to be. I have two beautiful children that live with me so I don't go bar hopping and the couple of times that I DID go out, the women were all ready and willing to go back to my place and that sort of warp speed kind of skips over so much of the fun part of what I remember of falling in love. I guess thats the problem, I don't want a "hook up" I want a partner in crime hehheh I feel, well to be honest, like a fish out of water ....thus the post LOL
