I did meet someone on here but it didnt work he had alot of personal issues and he was also playing mind games so I ended it. Im actually realizing that maybe the internet isnt for me I like to meet people out in the open where Ive seen there behavior or other people can say yes I know them there a good person you cant say that for the internet b/c guys just want a quickie not all guys but most of them an Ive already made up my mind what I want from a guy and I havent seen much of what im looking for on here. Ive also heard from people that doing the internet makes me sound desparate.

Many people play games and it's easy to disguise who they really are behind a computer. You see lots of profiles that remind you of those fancy resumes full of lies. I am 41 and seperated from my husband whom I have been with for 11 years, and before that I was married for 4 years...So here is my question, How do you strike up a conversation with a picture? what do I say? I am a virgin at this and need help! also How do you know that who you are talking to is really who they say they are? Maby I watch to much lifetime but it scares me to meet someone in person who may or maynot be who they say they are???

rjpoetic Sioux City, IA age: 37	misslonely thats my biggest fear is that I will meet someone and like their picture and then meet them in real life and get sideswiped by a completely different PERSON! I am new as well so I have no sage advice except be careful vet them carefully and if you do meet make it somewhere public where you both have your vehicles (for a quick getaway of course..) RJ

Sure, you only see a pix, read a profile, but you can e-mail, get a feel for them on the forums (if they do that), exchange phone numbers, then CAM...gees..can't hide much when you see each other moving and talking. I'm not talking cam sex here, just sitting and seeing the person you are talking with..THEN meet as soon as possible..it can work and i know that it has for me. There's a lot of wonderful ppl out there if you just give it a chance and TAKE a chance.! [Edited 3/13/2008 3:58:50 PM]
