| God bless them for such a wonderful marriage. Sad to say that unless things go back in time, committment is a thing of the past. To easy to switch partners and it seems that no one cares to work things out anymore. No relationship is guaranated to be without problems and it seems it would make things stronger if partners could work things out together inside of heading for the door.

| I think people just make some bad choices these days.
Unfortunatly the ones that do believe it's a commitment probably tend to stick with it. So they might be a rare breed as you get older.
I think that all relationships begin to die the moment they start. From that first day i think it's all about choices. How we choose to perceive things.. .How we choose to resolve issues in the relationship. Do we resolve things so there are two winners? do we end issues in each others arms? or are we not talking to each other, or are we yelling at each other. Do we see a mess smile and clean it up cus we love them? or do we walk away pissed. I bet those first few weeks of a relationship.. they could do almost anything.. and not get up your ire. then towards the end.. when love has been pretty much quashed by years of neglect and under appreciation.. one small incident happens that ends it all. It ends because that one small incident triggers a realization that there is no love anymore by one of the people in the relationship. I think commitment is there.. as long as love is. The problem is recognizing what we value most.. then putting in the time and effort to keep that alive and flourishing. It sneaks up on us and blindsides us.. the little things that destroy a relationship over time.
wish i could go back 20 years.. and relive it.. this time with my eye's open.

| yes fry for many, the little things do add up (try over looking them until)and then when something major happens that ends it all. Like the saying goes..Thats what broke the camels back. That was with my younger kids father.
My marriage to my older kids father was a good marriage..I loved him very much.Something happened that was BIG and that is what ended our marriage of 14 years.
Could I go back? No
I just wish he would be a better father to his kids cause after we divorced it was like he gave up on them as well. Thats just wrong in my book. It has hurt my older kids deelpy and to this day it effects them. I've tried talking to him..does me no good. Its Weird ..when you are together(married) he was a better Dad then when divorced..not so good Dad.
There are some things in life I dont understand and that being how you give up the love(ing) of your kids.

| Foxy, his loss with the kids...
You can't make anyone do things, if they don't want to do them.
Just be there for the children, so they know you care.
(And maybe not cut him down, in front of them ??? It won't be good for them.)

| I would rather be with someone special than single... I see couples everywhere... and think, why can't I have that? It's not a waist of time... if you realy like someones company... I find my biggest trouble is... everyone is looking for a 10... and I am a 5.. just me take it or leave it.

| mrg..I dont ever cut either down to my kids.
My older kids I always told them I loved their father deeply and if it wasnt for him I wouldnt have you.
My younger kids..well not much is said there either way..Until my 7 yr old makes a comment about wishing he had a Dad...sighs. Then I deal with that as well.
Cutting down the other parent to your kids is never right. It'll bite ya in the a** later if you do that.
