Ok, I know I need to get more pictures up, and will very soon, but why is it that most of the guys that wink or send me an e-mail, are 20 or so years younger? It's nice to know that guys that young are interested, but I want someone closer to my age. I have grown kids that age and younger. Is anyone else facing this too? If so, how do you feel about it?

Wow! I have to say it bothers me too.

The only thing I can figure is that it is a crush or something...unless the message was indecent in character.

It is probably best to delete such messages immediately without a response...

Age, to me, is just a number. I am looking more at the person. Their maturity level. I've had conversations with men older than me, younger than me, and around my age. Quite a few times I found that the younger men were more mature than the older men that I've had conversations with. I think it is a preference more than anything of what a person feels comfortable with.

Twenty or more years sounds extreme, though. I have dated older women myself, but never more than ten years my senior...

I just assume they hope I have money, or am desperate
and willing to warm their weinie in gratitude.

Honey count your blessings I get lengthy emails from these young honeys and I won't date anyone younger than my own children....! I never know are they looking to me for advice or do they really think I'd want to date someone 18? For real? Oh dear.....

They're all nice and all; just too young. Let me tell you, some are really goodlooking, sigh, but I would feel very funny going out with someone that age, as it would be like hanging out with one of my own children. lol

Usually they are just looking to gain experience thinking that just because we are older we have more experience or they think we are just old and desperate. Just politely decline, delete and move on.

carnationpurple, take a look at that second pic of yours. It gives you a youthful mystique. I was drawn to youthful good looks coupled with a high-level of conversation, wisdom and experience when I was in my twenties. And if you also were real bright or tall...

But like I said: never more than ten years older. Any older than that spooked me!!!

I have 4, almost 5, grandchildren. Ya, I can just see it now. (Scenario) I'll have him meet me, and then have the whole clan with me. Into's will be done, he'll excuse himself, and disappear. lol At that age, they're not ready for grandkids.
