| considering that what we want changes at every stage of our lives, i don't think either sex knows what will make them happy forever. i can tell you what i want right now, but not what i might want in 20 years. two people need to understand that the other's needs and wants will change over time and love one another through the changes.

| It is not the knowing what I want part that is frustrating to me.....it is finding it! And even when you find it, you can not always have it! UGH!  ......I think patience and persistence is more important. I think most of us do know what we want and don't want.

| i can say i definitely know what i DONT WANT. there are some characteristics and behavior which i know i wont put up with, but beyond that, as long we get along well, make each laugh, can sense each other's moods and know how to respond, and communicate openly, honestly, and often are the basics that i want. the in between i think can be worked out. as for men, many i have met are so damn SUPERFICIAL, they are expecting this model type women and not even wanting to give the average woman a chance. guys say they want a strong independent woman, women in the streets but freak in the bed, but when they get that they always f-- it up. so this question although very good, is really a matter of the individual you are dealing with.

The rest, is just gravy.
Every person has something unique about him, which is special and edearing. For along time, I had this list:
Tall, successful, goodlooking, great brain, etc...
Then I found myself melting for a guy who is not so tall, but has the most amazing sense of passion and compassion...and is doing something REALLy weird to my heart....so what's that about?
here is what I say,...let's forget for ...hmmmm...one day, about ANY list or requirements or "I WANT"s...and let's your heart to take you to A direction...ANY direction. maybe you find that the "List" doesn't matter, as much as "THE MAN" himself.
