I keep reading these threads about "cheating and lying", "toilet seats", "body fat" and "menstrual cycles" and I wonder:

Do these threads exist for members of one sex to get a rise out of members of the other sex???

Some of it's for fun but majority of it I use as a tool for gaining knowledge of someone. It's more than I would get from a profile. Profiles, to me, are snapshots of the person where as in the forums I can learn a lot about a person on their views and interests.

I thought that might be the case, but I hardly believe these are the first threads on these topics.

In any case, if the point of these threads were to make the fir fly, I fail to see how anyone could improve on them.

They are nothing if not entertaining!!!

well put. If you want to know someone better, then try talking heart to heart; one on one

i agree heart to heart one on one is the best way . in the threads is ok if you trying to let everyone know you . but even tho i've read alot of profile and many threads i still feel that i know no one on here . the question i have are personal pluse one on one i can feel what the person say and i can hear the lies . usualy i know within 5 minutes if this person in for real are not. but in the thread i can't tell cause i read one thing on there profile and another in the thread
