| As we get older, it's harder to find someone, as it seems, all the good ones have been spoken for. When I was younger, I had no problems finding dates. To make a long story short, it was my second husband that completed me. My first, beat me. Back in the 70's, wife beating was treated differently than now. When I met my second husband 'again', I knew him since childhood, it took him 4 times of asking me to marry him, as I was not ready.
We made it through a military marriage, hard times and good, but cancer took his life after 16 years of marriage. I was like a zombie for many years, but I raised our children alone, and two grandchildren. The family has grown since his death, with many ups and downs, but we laugh again, and have gone on with our lives. Now my kids tell me to start dating again.
Ok, so I took their advice, I don't like blind dates, so here I am. I've meet some really weird online men, only online, not in person, talked to a few on phone. On both, I don't do a tell all, as who knows about these guys. I will mention, a few have tried to tell me they're stuck in a foreign country, and need money to get back to the states. Ya right, I wasn't born yesterday.
Maybe I'm picky, but better safe than sorry. There's a lot of choices on here, so being patient, I'm sure a lot of us will find someone. Don't rush things, as you'll end up with regrets.
