Anyone working should not be kicked out of their homes. "Free Markets" are anything but that.It is a destructive & suicidal socio-economic system.More people here and around the world will hate this system now that events are proceeding most rapidly.

I remember our government meddling in “everyone should own their own home”. It was Bush I think. But that is beside the point. The lenders took the risk and the tax payers should not be bailing these financial institutions out! The people owning the stock should pay. That is the rule of investment risks. I am not saying that I have a problem with our government backing first time home buyers and some of this as I believe it is a good investment for our citizens but these institutions that threw out the book and made foolish investments have no business asking for a tax payer bailout.

Almost lost my house because my X refused to pay his portion of the house payment for a year. Someone came in and bought the place days before foreclosure was going to start. Was I lucky or what?

I lost a lot of equity that had been built up because of him, but he didn't get what he wanted: to ruin me and leave me homeless.

Houses can be replaced. Jerks gotta go.......

I refinanced the house and paid half the equity in it during the divorce. That was over at that point. It’s all difficult.
