| If you could live in any city in the world, where would you live, and why?

| I am serious about moving back to Indiana next year...reason, I seen a Real Estate site and nearly fell off my chair at what kind of homes you can own back there for a third of the value of California property. Think I am just tired of the struggle when it's not neccessary in another location. Why Indiana, my roots are there and still have family living there.
Any place in the world...done that and sick of travelling!

| That is the 1,000,000,00000 question. I am trying to figure that out. Like lynn said its cheap cheap everywhere else but cali. Friend bought 10 acreas and 5 room home in tx for 50k. Problem is finding the weather I want.
Any suggestions would be appreciated as I will be able to travel around and try places out over the next few years.
some snow ok no blizzards and shut downs, no 120 degree heat, not keen on extreme humidity,
I have been to Virginia beach va in oct - dec and was awesome
also oregon however too much rain would be depressing maybe not sure.
The whole maryland coast was beautiful again I hear humidity is deadly.
Prefer trees and forest nearby but not mandatory. Would prefer cold to hot as we can always wrap up for the cold you can only get so naked in the heat.

| Yes, California is pretty expensive, but I could never leave, I guess I'm just a cali girl at heart. I'd probably live somewhere down south, like Orange County or something. A small city.

| I will admit oceanside or vista is pretty close to perfect weather year round closer to the beach and you get allot of cold days and any further inland it gets very hot not that expensive really either considering.
Not enough trees for me though love the trees and forest areas as well as the beach. I may have to settle for a home in two places to get all i am looking for.
May we all find our happy places and live long to enjoy them

| It wouldn't be a city, it would be off the grid somewhere in the general vicinity of Garberville, CA.

| I really like where I live, which is West Virgina, but if I had to pick a city, I want to go way out there and say Paris, New York, Sidney, Las Vegas, or Rome. In that order or maybe I would like to just visit.

| I live near a city, now. Population 750. and the cities get smaller. The whole county has bout 10,000 in it. And, regetfully, growing. The "city" folks are movin in by the groves.
For what? To get away from the city.
Sooo lets move out to the country an buy a lil tract and enjoy all the peacefullness of the country. But wait. Its too quiet. Lets bring the city with us. Yeah, move lotsa lil trailers in all around us so we can hear the hollerin an the yellin of the neighbors.
There now, its more like home.
Thank you no. I like not hearin my neighbors.
I like hearin the dog bark, and the cows a couple fields over. The coyotes howlin, and that one loose piece of tin, goin "Eeeeek BAM!" in the night. And my old rooster, crowin, just cause he can.

| hey they get internet out there or is this passed along the cable till they hit a town with plumbing?
The lil towns are good till you live in em. everyone knows when you do anything to much of a fish bowl for me.
Virginia beach is a nice size city that appears to be smaller with all the patches of forest around.
