| Ok, your doctor (Dr. Blah) tells you that you've got a rare condition that will soon cause you to go deaf and blind. After your panic, shock, and disbelief of this horrible news, Dr. Blah informs you that he is able to save either your sight OR your hearing (but not both). The question is... which one would you choose to hold on to? And why? (By the way, "i'm not sure" is not an acceptable answer).

| I would have to keep my sight. I wouldn't be able to hear my grandboys' joyful laughter but I would be able to see his beautiful little face light up when he laughs.

| My eyesight-Because I am going blind;aready blind in left eye and there is not surgeries that can currect my remaining "good eye" I will eventually go blind though they (doctors) can not tell me when so I cherish everything that I can see right now. I would rather be deaf than be losing my eyesight this way. I know sign-language already. But I will have a difficult time getting around with out my eyes. Scared to death guys.I am too damn independant to live in a nursing home or with family members. Those who have good eyesight please cherish it. Cause it can all be gone in a blink of an eye.

If not, I guess I'd have to go with my eyes. I'd have to see to read DH!

| Losing sight means the other senses are more acute as time goes on--but I would want my sight---being deaf means I would not have to listen to all the crap that we can do without. Save my sight.

| I think I would chose to save my hearing. Why? Because the thought of never hearing my childrens voices or music would kill me.
