| why is there so many guys in here without pics???...i get so many guys messaging me or tryin to add me as a friend without pics...thats creepy...makes me think there ugly or hiding something!!!

You're probably closer to that than you realize. In my experience I have found that a lot of people will join sites like this...not specifically to find the person of their dreams, but more, or less to hassle people. Men and women both do this.
They are missing something in their lives, so they join a site and start hassling people. They seem to "get their cookies off" doing this. They will come on to someone as a friendly sort to gain their attention and confidence. Once a dialog is established the hassling begins. Communicating with a lot of sexual overtones...getting angry if the descent person doesn't respond they way they want them to.
These types don't want their face to be seen, so they don't post a picture. Now...this can't be said about all the members here who have not posted a picture. There are many good reasons why pictures aren't posted.
For those who message you WITHOUT A PICTURE...you best bet is to ignore them. Pay no attention to them. Delete their messages after reading them. Be very wary of any message that somes in without a picture of the sender.

| Wow, this is pretty judgmental. There are a lot of legitimate reasons for not posting a pic online. To decide in advance that everyone without a picture is ugly, married, or simply here to hassle people is kind of sad.
I prefer to know a bit about someone before sharing my photo. If asked nicely, I will gladly send one.
Don't rush to judgment, but keep in mind that there are people online who are up to no good. In the long run, if you are more comfortable not communicating with someone without a picture, that's your choice, just as it's mine to not post one.

| I could see reasons for not posting pics. Some people have jobs that being seen on an online dating site would hinder their chances at promotions, etc. I talk to some faceless people and have some great conversations with them. They are always happy to send a picture after some initial correspondence.

| A lot of good it does to post a pic that is 16 years old. What's the difference.Just because a pic is posted doesn't mean that is who you are looking at.There are plenty of fakes. No pic just means they don't want to post one.Isn't that better than a fake or age old pics,lol.Nothing worse than meeting someone that looks nothing like the pic and description.

| I just put my picture on last night. I couldnt get it to post from my computer. I had to email pictures to my friend and put them on from her computer.
I have noticed a lot of negative comments from people on here about shadows!! I am not one any longer but when I was one I resented it a lot. I wasn't hiding anything, I wasn't a spamer, I wasn't trying to stir up trouble. I simply couldnt get my picture on here !!!!! I doubt that I am the only one that has had this problem

| Like others said...both sexes do it. I have it right up front in my profile "NO PHOTO...NOT CONTACT...NO EXCEPTIONS." However, many don't seem to understand what that means. I keep getting responses from those who don't. But keep in mind....cause I had one...on another site...that had photo posted...and after talking for a month or more...told me that was not him. Says was for his own safety...BS...if you have to lie about who you are and what you look like. Don't bother contacting me...I don't want to be nor do I appreciate being played for a fool.
Those who do this...take away some of our trust...for those who are telling the truth and really are seeking love. Everyone....watch your backs...cause both sides do it...and others are only here for online sex...and that's okay...IF that is what both want. Not all of us are.
Those (all of the above) have gotten me to the point of considering not trying to find love thru the net. Getting  of being played...and I have only been on the net looking for about 3 or 4 months. Beginning to wonder if it is worth all the hassles. 
If you can't show me who you are...one way or another. Take a step back...and keep looking. NOT INTERESTED.

| I am one of those that does not have a picture .... Why???? Beacuse one I don't have a recent photo of myself that shows my face. If you want I can send a photo of me in a helmet while riding my snowmobile or a hat on while going through a class four rapid. What would a photo like that say? I am behind the camera all the time. The second reason is I don't know how to post a picture. Third I would rather meet some based on mutal interest not looks. I am not afraid to post my picture, I have handed the camera to friends and said here take my picture.... what do I get unuseble pictures. I don't blame other people for not posting their picture either, we all have our reasons.

| There are alot of good reasons for not posting a photo. Many of them were already mentioned above. Though a good profile without a photo can get my attention alot quicker than a poorly written profile with a photo. We should try to not be too judgemental on the whole "no pic" thing....
..... and for the person(s) that mentioned "ugly" above.. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
