| “The Censured Knights”
To All Women Of Virtue,
Those you seek are among you; we always have been, and forever shall be waiting and watching from afar. Our lot was once a unique and exclusive association....a fraternity of knights like no other. Long ago we were dispatched with the solitary purpose of providing you unyielding strength, protection from all harm, unrelenting compassion, perfect peace, and undying love. We each bowed beneath the Sword of Flawlessness, and took an oath to selflessly provide you this, and more, without condition. It was our duty to make ourselves a clear and present availability to your wants and needs. To allow any interference with our cause meant permanent loss of our knighthood, separation from one another, and subjection to witness all atrocities against true love. At the start of our mission, we did not realise the assemblage of dark lords that worked against us. We watched them beguile you with their subterfuge, trickery, and malicious intent. These characteristics are foreign to us; unthinkable acts that defile our nobility. We did not think it possible for such men to have power so great as to diminish your hope, soil your trust, and reduce you to subjects for their self-serving purposes. Unforeseen by us was the danger we were supposed to prevent; how wicked it is to suffer from that which is inflicted upon you; deceit, false representations, empty hopes, unfulfilled dreams, and unfathomable perversion of your bodies and minds. Yet each time you raised yourselves up with measurable pride, you were befallen by the same circumstances. We did not assert ourselves as we were intended to do; we stood silently and watched the evilness consume you. Because of these ill-hearted men, the division among you was inherently inevitable. Your sisterhood became fragmented. Many of you have turned cold and vengeful, shutting yourselves off from the world. Others walk a path of self-destruction to commit acts they otherwise would not have done. Surely as we were told, separation took its toll among us. In time, many of our brethren were also influenced by the very same evil; awed by power so easily ministered, and confused in their inability to understand why so many of you cannot see virtue and true love. Sorrowfully, these once gallant souls are now part of what ails you. They became victim to the very deceit that many of you are now forced to employ. For all your burdens, we apologise and accept the punishment of being denied your affections.
We indeed failed you miserably. Through the ages, those of us in shining armour have tarnished, and are judged to remain in stasis, hence our designation of "Censured Knights". Our power for you to immediately recognise pureness of heart now rests in your hands. There is no action we can initiate on our own accord. We must wait for you to chart your way through the darkness that overshadows us all and seek the beacons of honour you long for. It is the only true way for us to become free of our suspended state of existence. Until then, we shall focus our efforts on those that will come after us; we shall teach them the intrinsic meanings of trust, faith, honour, virtue, strength of the heart, conviction of the mind, and the unlimited beneficent nature of love. They will become enabled to shield themselves from the storms of corruptibility. It is our desire to restore hope, if not in you my fair maidens, perhaps in those yet to come. If by chance you should come upon a man with a solitary tear about his cheek, I assure you he is one of us. His tear will be a collective representation not of sorrow for our loneliness, but for yours.
