| Someone requested I post a few samples of my 3D stills. Most of these are at least 700 x 600 so if you have dial-up you're really going to hate me for the length of time it takes to load up.
All these except the aircraft were created using trueSpace 6.6. Paint Shop Pro 10 was used in "Caribbean Star Gazing" and "The Garden" to add some post production effects but most are un-retouched renders straight from tS6.6. The aircraft was originally started in trueSpace 3.2 and finally rendered in tS6.6.
Enjoy
"The Dream"
Started out as an exercise in creating translucent cloth material.
"Chesapeake Doldrums"
Exercise in creating realistic water. I've seen the Chesapeake Bay look like that so many times on a hot summer afternoon.
Might as well drop the sails and go swimming.
(BTY - Columbia 7.6 meter, my first "week-ender")
"Caribbean Star Gazing"
I love the Caribbean in December!
This was done several years ago, before the Corona commercial
that looks suspiciously similar.
"American Yankee"
Highly detailed model of the AA 1 Yankee, a fun but not well known two seater.
"Y" in the FCC call sign designates a trainer.
If there's question as to whether this is just a photo (besides being flattered from the comment) look
carefully at the canopy. It's floating in mid air. I forgot to model the hinge mechanism.
"The Garden 01"
Started as an exercise in creating plant forms.
I usually don't do symmetry, but this one demanded it! The over-exposure was intentional;
trying to create the look of a hot, clear, exceptionally bright summer day.
"Planet Allbane"
One of many "Space" sets used for an animation, "A Darkened Moon" I've been working on for 4 years.

| Neat work!
I have been on the Chesapeake when it looked like that!
I love the sailboat best...

| Thanks Charmie
The problem with the Bay on an August day like that is that it can whip up into an angry froth in an hour with a good end of summer storm.
I learned to sail and eat crabs and dream of exotic places on the Chesapeake as a boy.
I love it still!
