| Do people really want a relationship or are they just looking for friends with benefits? I have talked to a lot of different people that say on their profile that they want a serious relationship, but when it comes down to it they just want friends with benefits or a one night stand. It would be nice for people to say what they are honestly looking for on their profile. Has anyone else run into this problem.

| Wouldn't it though.... Oh well the world just isn't that way. And as many people as there are there are practically that many variations on what is being sought after. I too have run into the problem of women that act like they are looking for a relationship when all they want it turns out is rockin sex. The the ones that "Only want to be friends" and when you treat them as a friend get offended that you aren't treating them as an exclusive lover. sigh... Guess we just have to sort through those minefields until such time as when the human race progresses to a higher level.

I was told that what I want doesn't exist (oddly enough by the person I didn't find it with - go figure) but I believe it's out there. Patience...patience grasshopper!

Good attitude -- I was told that by at least 1/2 dozen under my old profile which contained a very detailed list of what I was looking for. I believe I found all I want because I knew what I was looking for. If you don't know what you're looking for it is a bit like sending a man to the grocery store for a jar of marinara - he will call three times -- first he will want to know the brand, then he'll call back because there are six varieties in that brand and then he will call again b/c he forgot what you wanted to go with the marinara. [No offense guys - love ya but you know it is true.]
Lucy Jane - I am going to make a suggestion - do with it as you will - - it is intended to be helpful. If you have not already done so, watch the movie The Secret. I suggest this because you get what you expect and as I read your posts in this thread you are expecting it to be hard to find the man you are looking for and you are expecting guys to not want the same as you. I believe if you change your expectations your results will reflect your changed expectations. I wish you only the best of luck in your search.
PS I am a shadow person b/c all DH posts end up on Google -- so do our profiles; even if they are only viewable by friends on DH. I want to be able to be real here without anyone, including my children/parents/employer seeing my posts. When I can come up with an indistinguishing picture I will add it.

But no relashonship will be good unless you become
