| to im you yahoo for example(why?)...
there is im here, why do it?
what purpose of alluring members off site?
RED FLAG DAY.
it like stealing you away from party or is it?
this is free site, what's their problem?
I'm asked this often, push them to curb from now on.
they end up getting there anyways.

| I do add some people to my IM contact off site, but only after know them for awhile, and have talked to them enough to know that they are serious. I am on my other IM a lot more than I am on here, so it is a matter of accessability, if you develop a freindship, you may not be on here at the same time...
But, we have to always remember to be careful, there are bad people, even here....so, ladies, be sure that you are comfortable, or that you know some very good karate...lol.

| NO, but I get requests for that all the time and for my
phone number and personal email, etc. I don't give out
ANY of those...You need to really know someone well
on here before you do that...just my opinion and my
personal policy.
If they insist and keep asking...I just delete and block!
Sorry, but its the old "What part of NO don't you understand"
thing.

| I do give out my personal e mail not to steel folks away it is so I can see how serious they are in asking me for my help. My e mail here is sometime more full of junk than my personal e mail. I have also given out my phone number, I see no harm in that when someone needs help now, I may not get back to them until tomorrow, by then it may be too late. The IM part no the one here is good so I use it. The AOL IM and others work when I’m not on DH, but still on computer. So I can see the use of giving it out. but that will be to personal friends and they I feel may need it when they need it.

| I had put in a request for sound snippets of voice, something about it takes up too much space, perhaps the cam thing is also.

| If I want to chat with them after we have talked or written a few times I will. The IM on the site isn't that great. They can email me here though.

| i've given my yahoo to a few people here but thats after i knew them a long time. for the majority, i ask them to keep the conversation here in dhu.
i like it here but u never know when someone with a vendetta is gonna get u kicked off here, or u get banned for breaking a rule; or if i myself will be ready to leave over some happening, or some friend will leave suddenly without any way of further contact.
i have some pics on my yahoo that i show to friends that i don't put in my avatar here. i don't mind having pics in the profile here but i don't like the fact that anyone cruising through dhu can see pics posted in the avatar; i mean people who are not members see ur photo here as part of the advertising.

| I keep yahoo email for online dating, the im service works better than here, if become annoyance, I can abandon it, I also have personal email for friends and family, and keep account for online purchasing so my personal account does not get unindated with spam
I hear from many people that they get porno requests etc via IM so I can understand not wanting to IM, but the back and forth emails gets time consuming and an hour of IM is more productive in getting to know someone.
