| I think generally the most common factor you can find among those individual's who choose to play these games with people seeking love is a desire to transfer pain and anger from previous relationships by screwing up someone else's life.
AND the all present control and manipulation.
There's a false sense of power that is given to the game player when the innocent victim is unaware of the game...
Also - I think it can occasionally be a "test" of depth of emotion within the relationship....
"If I do this...will she/he still love me and want to be with me?" It sets perimeters of how far the other will go all in the name of participating in the relationship.

| I think some people have been so traumatized from a past relationship that it is a way to pay back. These are the type that will normally return to sanity over time. Then there are those who do for the sheer entertainment as if everyone were puppets in their world. These have a screw loose and should be avoided until they can be given the proper psychiatric care. Then there are those who believe they are the smartest thing going. They enjoy the challenge of the game as a mental stimulation. These people will have to hit hard times to lift them from their clouds of omnisciency. JMO
