| I'm a strong believer that, to see the true light of human stupidity, you merely need to work in some sort of customer service job.
I've been working at a gas station/truck stop for about seven years, and I've had drivers tell me that I should write a book about the idiots I've met there. I've found even more delightful samples of people whose parents ought to have been gifted with the Darwin award since starting to work at Wal-Mart.
For example... Many stores have express lanes which are usually ten items or less, twelve items or less, whatever. One of my first days working there, a woman came into the express lane with an entire cart full of items. I'm not really one to fuss, plus I'm not allowed to kick someone out of line for that anyway, and it wasn't busy so I didn't say anything. Now, the twelve other registers that WEREN'T express lanes, all of which she had to walk past to get to my express lane, have those nice little moving belts and extra long counters so that you can fit a bunch of stuff on there and make it an easy process. The express lanes have a much shorter counter with no belt, just the counter itself. The woman decided to yell at me because the counter in the express lane wasn't big enough to hold her cartload of items.
Another express lane story today... A guy came through with a full cart. Again, I didn't say anything since I don't really mind that much, and at the time he came into my line, there was no one behind him. Shortly after I started ringing up his fifty or so items, a woman got into line behind him and pointed out to him that the sign says this is an express lane. He turns to her and responds, "But I have coupons."
Somewhat unrelated, but brought to mind an old thread on here of the three things you would buy at Wal-Mart to confuse the cashier... I had a girl come through my line one day who was quite pregnant. She was buying diapers, baby bottles... and condoms. A little late on that one, dear!

| Ohhh yes those were the days for me...
My worst one was managing a woman's clothing store and had a customer come in browsing with a bag in hand. She waited until the line started forming and joined. when she came to me she dumped out 3 Suits... "I want to return these" They had OBVIOSLY been worn, they smelled really bad of perfume and BO . I asked her what was wrong with the suits. "Nothing I just don't want them". I informed her that we do not take back clothing that has been worn unless there was a default with the garment. Line was growing and she knew it so she yelled I have not worn these.. I pointed out the wrinkles from sitting on the skirts and the back of the jackets.. Her reply was very loud "I bought them this way" I told her it is against the law for me to sell USED cloths and when she bought them they had not been worn... she threw them at me and told me to just f88king keep them. I told her I could not they were her property... she asked for the manager I WAS WEREING MY NAME TAG THAT SAID "MANAGER" I told her she was talking to her....then she demanded my District managers name.. I gave it to her with a smile..as she turned to go she told everyone in the store very loud so they all would here.. "I will NEVER shop in this store again" several of my customers looked her in the eye and said "Good we don't want to EVER see you in this store again either" everyone else just chuckled as she stormed out. Then they asked me for a piece of paper and all wrote their names and phone numbers and told me to have my DM call them if she wanted to know what really happened here...
GOTTA LOVE THE GOOD ONES
