| there was a thread on here about what scared you.. i put down things like snakes and auto crashes..
I don't see anything wrong with honesty or big hearts.. but I'm not sure what a "big heart" is. Is a "big heart" compassion? Empathy? Surly it cant be love.. I dont think you can love someone you don't know. not in a specific way.
I must be tired cus i cant glean your original thought from your words.

| Wish I knew. I have tried the honesty bit here and the men don't seem to like it. Don't they know that a single mom has a big enough heart for their kids and for someone else. We are great multi-taskers. I feel that they think if we have kids that there might be baggage with the ex.or etc. There will always be some. If you are like me the kids do tend to come first, but they have been thru H--- right along with me and they deserve better than what I got. Most men don't want to believe that we can be emotionally strong even when they say that they want someone who can take care of themselves.

| : IMO i believe women and men become a bit sceptical of someone who seems to have a big heart for them. The reason being is they have issues with self esteem in many cases they dont realise it. Subcosiously theyre thinking "you think im great? There must be something wrong with you coz im not so you must be a nutter or desperate" and the negative thought process starts . This is why people need to find the best in themselves before looking for a partner. Finding a partner should NOT be treated as a bandaid for emotional pain as it will just lead to more and more trauma. A big hearted person is the best sort of person to have in our lives without a shadow of a doubt.

| I tottaly agree if that was the cases, I'm only looking to date for now, I been married for 10 years now and starting over, and some of the stuff i hear out here on this site is alot of disrespect for others,and some are very nice and some are only looking for only sex and only looking to use people. I quit happy right now and free to exspore new people and look for mr right one of these days. I dont have ant self esteem problems, i catch men looking at me all the time,I love my self plus God made me who I am and I'm not trying to be some one I'm not.

| John Tesh is a radio TV personality. They call it relationship radio for learning how to deal with human behavior. Yesterday one of the suggestions on how to get a man to TALK with you..is say things like I THINK....never use the phrase I FEEL..
He said men lock up *when you start talking about feelings*, their mind just locks up...
they are more open when *thinking* is involved.
I have been taught taught that use the word feeling, or I FEEL...as no one can argue your feelings. It is how YOU FEEL.

| Part of it has to do with there not ready to settle down yet. Could also be that you may not be the one for them. Its really hard to predict men...there full of surprises...lol. Can't live w/ them...can't live without them!
