| Hi everyone!
I also belong to Plenty Of Fish, a free dating site much like this one. Members there put together parties/mixers for singles 21 and up. They do this at several different places throughout each month, all year long. I hear they are a blast and a great way to meet other singles. Where the band plays, they usually have 200 to 300 people attend! I will be going to my first one Sat April 19th in Newport Beach. I was told it would be ok for me to share this with everyone here and all are welcome! The following is all the info from the POF site. I hope you can go and if not, maybe go to [blocked site].com to the forums where you can check out upcoming events. There is never a cover charge for these parties!

April Mixer/Dance with
Free Salsa Dance Lesson
at the Tee Room in Newport Beach
Free Beginner Salsa Lesson starts at 7 pm.
No partner necessary (we rotate partners during the lesson)
Followed by open Salsa Dancing.
After salsa dancing, the live band starts playing your favorite rock, oldies, top 40, and country tunes for freestyle dancing.
Plan to have a snack or dinner at the Tee Room.

BOBBY G and the BEAT, one of Orange County's premiere dance cover bands, is a high energy, very entertaining and always funky 5 piece band. They cover a nice mix of Rock, Classic Rock, 80's Dance, Disco, Blues, Funk and Country tunes. They featuring wailing blues harp and soulful saxophone combined with great vocals and seasoned musicians.
The Tee Room has been a great venue for us , and as always, it will be a pure singles party. It is the clubhouse bar for the Newport Executive Golf Course near John Wayne Airport. There is plenty of seating. There are also areas to relax and talk near the bar where the music is not as loud.
Additional Fun
We will have an icebreaker game
(an opportunity to introduce yourself to others), and maybe a few “ladies choice” dance options.
This event is open to other local singles groups as well to make it more fun for everyone. If you know of any other singles groups, please post whatever information you have to this thread.

| Being single and 21 or over are the only requirements!
I see they are most likely going to have something in Riverside in May. I'll keep my eyes open and post here if they do. That would be closer for me, too.
