| Why do we keep our wedding dresses? Even after we're divorced? This discussion came up at my job on Friday. I still have mine and can't tell you why. Any thoughts?

| Maybe because the 1st marriage is supposed to be the one that lasts "forever" I still have mine also - it's beautiful and can't seem to make myself get rid of it.

| I donated mine to a local bridal shop that sells gently used bridal gowns. It's gorgeous, and I have pictures in it, so why not give someone else a chance to enjoy it?

| I originally kept it incase I had a daughter (which I did) but then I thought that was my dress - she should have her own.

| I'm keeping mine for my daughter to wear....I lived in Europe at the time so mine is one of a kind......it's got parts of it made from several countries in Europe...it's even got crystals all over it.....I just hope that someday she will wear it.

| Ok we talked about the daughter thing as well, first off would you wear your mothers? Remember how they used to look like in the 70's, all those ruffles and hoops, and don't forget the big floppy hats that used to go with. I know I love my mom, but first off I don't think I would fit it her wedding dress, and I really didn't like it. JMO

| If my mother would have had one and I fit...I'd have worn it proudly. I'm a very traditional kind of gal. I saved mine..not sure why. Funny thing is I tried to get rid of it..I mean what do I need it for. It is old..I threw it in the 'to throw away pile'. Ha Ha my ex took it out and put it on the to keep pile. I figured what the heck..must be a reason although I'm not sure why. So yeah I have it. Just another thing for me to get rid of one day...
ewwww just thought of a reason....no I do NOT want to be burried in it. Pretty as it is....eww no gross.
