| I was really sceptical about this site when i first joined. Yes there has been a few that were a little different but you get the bad with the good. I guess that is what you get on the information highway. But there is good news,a few of the people i met have been down to earth and that is a good thing in this day and time. | peaseblossom, I've noticed that too from just surfing around today. I joined yesterday and so far:
1. Got mixed up in a cyber fight
2. Bonked a stupid kid on the head for being a complete idiot
3. Tried to be supportive
4. Gave a compliment, no wait 2 compliments
5. Admired a few people already for their wit and intelligence
6. Stated my opinion
I'd say that's a pretty good first day's experience.

|  I agree ...I have laughed my butt off on some of the forums some poster are as funny as all hell ..I've read posting from other the given great insight to understanding each other ...from other dating site I've be on this is most interactive site and it's free .It like anything else in life you get the good with the bad but there more good on here !

| Thanks guys! I'm willing to give this a try. Last Friday I met with a professional match maker. She wanted $5,000.00 to organize 12 meetings without guarantees! I realize that they do all the screening, but still I figure that at my age I can figure out what's good for me and who to stay away from. Plus she kept trying to steer me away from the qualities that I most admired in men. I guess she knew what she had to offer in her files and they just didn't measure up to my expectations.
In any case, I just hope to be able to make friends here. There are really good people everywhere and why not here too?
