| I had wated a long time years ago, to get the courage up to ask a #10 beauty out on a date. She was a cheerleader for a large University here in Utah. She was my fantasy girl so to speak. She was all I thought about day after day. I was suprised and on cloud nine at the same time when she said that she would love to go out. Our date went great-the perfect evening, until she invited me into her home. Just for this date, I had purchased a $250.00 sheepskin coat. I thought it looked pretty good on me and was proud of the look. Being invited in was a dream come true. Then she brought fido in. Her true love, a miniature schnauzer with an attitude. We sat down on her couch and the dog started in on my coat sleeve fiercly growling and biting. I tried and tried to push the dog away, to no avail. It only attacked more fiercly. I was so suprised that my date did not control the dog, but then it hit me, maybe this was her way of making a man prove himself to her. So I stuck it out for a couple of more hours, until my coat was torn to shreds and then shot out the door knowing I would never return. My fantasy had gone to the dogs.

| She obviously cared more about the dog than she did for you.
She lacked even common curtesy -- you didn't miss out on anything with that one! That was a cheap lesson in the long run and that's what you should do --RUN!!!!

| Whomper, thanks for the comments and your support. I can only look back on this with a sense of humor, and with gratitude that I made the right decision. Chalk one up for life's little learning experiences.

| Just curious, but dream date or not, why didnt you remove your coat and hang it up away from that dog. That woman was very rude and inconsiderate. I cant imagine allowing my pet to go bezerk on someones clothing let alone a coat which cost alot of money! So sorry for that.

| Hey, all those comments are great, but remember love does funny things to a person and there was no way I was going to loose this girl, -dog, coat, whatever. Well, hindsight teaches us to see whats real and whats not. The girl was'nt real for me anyway, and the experience taught me a whole lot about life. Much more assertive now. Still wonder however what could have been if things had gone right. Young love memories. Keeping it real--Stark out.
