| You know....I've met A LOT of great guys on DH, BUT none of them live close enough to me to really pursue it....it's so FRUSTRATING!!!! I'm a mom of a beautiful 5 month old baby girl and I'm a full time student (studying criminal justice). I can't just get up and chase something that's not FOR SURE.... Sometimes I do think I am looking WAY to hard, but I can't help it...I want that mommy daddy atmosphere for my daughter. Are there any guys on here looking for the same thing I am? Does anyone live close to me?

| yep i hear ya...im obligated to stick around here for the next year and a half to finish out school so i cant just up and move...i receive these great emails with a lot of detail from gentlemen followed by winks (as does everyone else im sure)....when i check his profile out to see where he is located...everytime he is 1000 MILES AWAY.... i just don't get it either...i spent several hours milling through the profiles of all the local men and sent out several emails....not a single reply...guess i have to move in order to find someone

| That's actually a very simple question to answer. The total numbers using DateHookup is very small. So the odds of finding someone in your backyard is relatively low.
Try one of the heavily advertised sites if you want to increase the local activity.

| [blocked site].com is a free site and alot of people from AL seem to be on it? You can designate how far away you want to search. As a young, single mom I think you need to be very careful about what you do and who you meet on any of these sites. Take it slow and do your homework! Good luck!

I just have to cringe when I read this. To me this is like saying, "I'm gonna go find me a daddy for my baby".
I don't think you're going to find what you are looking for on any dating site. You're tethered locally and if you have family close by being your support chain then you have to limit your search area and not spend time or spin your wheels with guys 1000 miles away.
You might want to re-examine your priorities before spending too much energy on dating. get through school improving your life, raise your daughter, exist by yourself.

| Listen to Mogi and Geo. You don't want to just be looking for a daddy - that isn't fair to anyone, and not necessarily safe either. Concentrate your energy into being the best Mom you can be, and improving your life and your future.
It has to all come together: a relationship and a partner for you, and someone who is willing to become a father to your child, if your relationship develops into that.

Yikes that's what my ex got a degree in from Eastern Michigan
They call it that 'criminal justice' because criminals
actually run it (Judges, lawyers and police)

| I think you guys ned to give her a break. How come everytime a girls says somethign about wanting a daddy for her kid people give her grief. Lets be realistic, why would any women in her right mind, with kids, get serious about a guy who wasnt daddy material. She didnt say she was going to settle in order to find a daddy for her kid, she said she wanted her kid to have a family. I dont see a problem with that at all.

| Steve thank you so much....FINALLY someone understands what i'm trying to say!!!!! people need to stop being so judgemental until they try to look at things from my point of view! I am the best mom that i could possibly be...I am with her 24/7 even when i'm in school (its an online college) so no one needs to give me the "focus on your daughter" lecture  ....oh yeah BOB, don't trash talk my choice of major...you need not put people you don't know in a generalized category!!!! So BACK OFF!!!!!! I love what I'm doing with my life...I'm focusing on a better life for my daughter and that is what I am interested in...oooooooooo that makes me so angry!!!
