I was in the Secretary of States Office today.I was with my daughter 13yrs old.I look up to see the 500lb. freak that did CSC in the fourth degree with 3rd degree variables when she was seven yrs old.We thought this MAn was locked up for life ,due to the fact that when he served his ONE year in JAIL for his crime against my daughter he did it again to another girl and got 10-15yrs so we thought. There he sat.My first reaction was to get my daughter away from him ,which I did. Then I asked her if she remembered this individual it took her a few minutes and she finally did.I asked her if she wanted me to attack this person. She tells me no fearing I would go to Jail.I REALLY, I MEAN REALLY, wanted to.I had been praying today before I ever went in about some personal stuff so GOD was on my mind but I`m only flesh and blood.I always wanted revenge but I had my daughter to think about plus the fact that I am under a doctors care and it would mess up my treatment. But still I didn`t care I wanted a piece of this man.My daughter kept telling me NO.He handled his business and went totally around the room to avoid passing her and out the door. Was I right to follow my daughters wishes or should I have help everbody out and do something else? Your opinions welcome I feel alittle indifferent on the issue. Deadhead

DeadHead, I can understand, but you will have to let it go. Not that he doesn't deserve it, but your daughter deserves more. She deserves a dad the is there, guiding her and providing her with the love she needs.

One point I might make, she was not aware of this until you brought it up. She would probably have gone on her way and never realized it was him. You were the one who was upset and you gave that to her. Now she is probably worried that you will do something. Does she need that? Sorry, not judging you, I just know you would do anything to protect her.

Sooner or later this nut case will get what he deserves, just don't ruin your life, or your daughters over it.

I have to agree with Toby. I'd have been very vocal about this man and his past so everyone in the building would have known just what kind of a slime he really is. Much love and respect to you though for holding your temper and honoring the wishes of your daughter.

I talked loud enough for the ppl in the room to get the picture it was plain to see what sort of situation this was I actually thought the police would arrive any minute to keep peace I wasn`t acting like a hot head but it was a reation of a father protecting his young primal anger type thing I didn`t know what I would do from second to second.

I can certainly understand your feelings. Sometimes though you have to turn and just walk away. You taught your daughter more by being a man and restraining yourself. You proved to her how 'real' men behave even when they want to do the opposite. We teach our children so much more by example. He is not worth you going to jail or your daughter losing daddy, even for a little while.
