Katie, the man you met defines the word love to me unselfishly giving with unconditional feeling.. If we all could be like that.
I have had the one for me. Unfortunately life got in the way. It was a shame. So I question myself if there will ever be another not like her but one that I will love the ssame as she loves me unconditionally..

| Here...I copied you this answer from one of my earlier posts. It seems to be more appropriate here:
Most successful and long term couples say that they knew...just KNEW... from the first moment, that they have found their life-mate...
I think when we meet the right person, there is a part of us that will see and register that fact, but we resist that knowledge based on all of our past experiences and our perceptions of reality.
Maybe we need to start believing in our gut feelings, when it comes to love and companionship, and don't pay that much attention to pre-conceived "Mental Lists", and how much one person would match that LIST.
In another word, if we stop trying to logically fall for someone, then our inner self can determine, even during the first date, first few moments, first kiss, ... that we are just friends or the red-hot lovers who can make it, no matter what life throws at us...
One more thing...
Why is it so bad for the "Lust" and "Love" thing to go so hand in hand?
Aren't they both the integral parts of any relationship?
Is there even ONE man OR woman anywhere who wants either one alone?
You guys who claim wanting (maybe sometimes) just sex and nothing else, really care for a woman who wants to use you and your body, without even a touch of "Emotional Wanting"? Really?
And how about you girls... would you REALLY want a plotonic relationship with a guy who keeps telling you"I Love You"s...seriousley...gagging anyone?
Lust and Love are both a part of the SAME thing...Wanting and Needing the other half of you to Want and Need you as badly and as desperately with EVERY part of their emotions...
Would ANYTHING short of that do?
