The federal government is sending each and every one of us a $600 rebate. If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China. If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs, if we purchase a computer it will go to India, if we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala, if we purchase a good car it will go to Japan, if we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy. The only way to keep that money here at home is to buy prostitutes and beer, since these are the only products still produced in the US. Thank you for your help

This original posting guy is telling it straight. One other alternative that would be illegal (and is not recommended) is to burn it. It came from nowhere, send it back to nowhere. But dont be surprised if it isn't an advance on next years refund, so u might want to hold onto it to pay the extra $600 tacked on next year that might appear that we have no idea might happen. Altruistic people, give it to street people, they wont be buying Indian computers, Arab gasoline or Wallyworld Chinese imports.

One caveat./.you have to file your 2007 taxes in order to receive your check.
They will start mailing the checks in May, according to your social security number...
last 3 digits.. if I recall...I had a complete print out on it last week...
I will have to check it out for the address of the website.
watch for mail thieves about this time also...

Buy a 4'x4' plot of good earth and a tomatoe plant to get you through the summer? Then tune in to Martha to learn the best way to plant it, display it, cook it, serve it, and recyle it.

We should send it all to those poor Nigerians who have to think up scams to get our money.

Well, until you drug that deadwood Martha into it (I swear that 99% of what she calls her inovative and creative methods for everything my mother taught me by the time I was in 3rd grade) I would say that the garden plot was a good idea. Just make sure you grow something you actually eat LOL Don't end up with a chest freezer full of berries like I have LOL

Berries? wow, send them to me Gypsy. Here they sell for more than $3/lb. I'll send you some tomatoes...they grow like weeds around here in the summer like your berries do up there. Got any Marion Berries? LOL

I can't believe what they charge for the blackberries. On sale you get them for $1.50 a cup?????? Even the prices they charge for the strawberries, that my father won't even eat since the store bought ones just taste like water to us, are outrageous. Just another reason why I always laugh at the remarks about how the prices of produce are kept down by hiring criminals. I certainly don't see much evidence of it LOL

And if I could think of a way to ship them without them turning into a thawed, moldy mess, you could have them, all 6 gallons of blackberries and all 3 gallons of strawberries.

I like blueberries and raspberries myself.
