Does anyone here want that notebook ending?

Yes I would. What an excellent story and I know It's idealistic but why the hell not don't we deserve it.

I hate to tell you this but the ending in the book is quite different. Personally I couldn't stand the film.

Sorry I haven't read the book. Having not read the book still thought it was a good story. Though that might change after reading the book. Yes watching this movie single can be depressing, but so is watching couples out and about in daily life. Especially new couples.

I work in a assisted living facility and see that ending all the time.
Some of them have been married 70 or more years.
They truly give me hope.

I read the book, but have not seen the movie. That story was based on Nick's Grandparents.

Saw the movie, loved it and cried my eyes out. But, the first time I watched it was when my heart was breaking from a relationship. DON'T EVER WATCH IT THEN!! And yes, I believe it and I won't settle for anything less!!!!

More than likely I'll be like Bill Murray's character in Broken Flowers.

I loved The Notebook but it was really sad. So was Broken Flowers for that matter.

The movie is alright, but the book was so much better.
Just like "A Walk To Remember", the was good, but the book was a great deal better.
Though I think that all of the Sparks' books are better than the movies that they have put out for them.
