| I am curious... I thought that I had posted this but I am better at how to post now. How much time should he or she wait before calling after a date and should he call first?

| Personally, I don't believe that there is a standard timeframe. I think it depends on the individuals involved. If the date went well, I think it's nice if he calls to make sure you got home alright.... or you can give him a quick call to let him know you made it home safe.
I despise this notion of the "3 day waiting rule". If the date went well and there is interest on both sides.....you should let each other know.

| Hi Christi, I think that the question wasn't answered really. You said no real time frame... if a guy doesn't call me after yes... I am going to say three days... I would figure that he didn't have a good time and isn't interested. I tend not to call him because I don't want to be rejected... or intrude. I know chicken... I always send an email to say thank you for the date.

| My opinion, for whatever that is, would be the guy makes the call. Call to make sure she gets home alright, unless you took her home. Date on a Friday or Saturday, call next day. Date during the week, call in two days. Not sure but just seems right.

| Miss Raven~  I believe this is an individual perception thing. Perhaps it's for this reason that many people are confused as to what is appropriate and what isn't. Thus, this is only my personal thoughts on this....
If the date went well, I believe that there should be some sort of communication within 24 hours, to let the other know that they had a good time and are interested in getting together again soon. Also, to see if BOTH people are on the same page, and are BOTH willing to continue to another "date".
A good way to do that is by calling (or emailing) to show respect & to let the other person know you care enough about them by letting them know you made it home safely, or for them to call you briefly to make sure. At this point, either person, but preferably BOTH people can relate to the other whether or not they have a mutual intrest of persuing things further.
Of course, if there wasn't a connection and either person doesn't feel that they would like to presue things further...They should be kind & honest enough to let that person know at the end of the date. BEFORE parting ways. But, POLITELY, of course.
I do not believe that one should wait several days before calling someone that they are interested in. It leaves to much room for speculation, and to much time for someone else to show their interest. I look at it this way, if I'm interested, there is a good chance that others are too. Do I want to miss out on an opportunity of a great person? Nope. And the same applies to someone that is interested in me. If they wait and don't let me know, they may loose out on getting to know a wonderful person because while they are taking their time to let me know....My interest will be on someone who is taking the time to tell me.
Just be honest, be yourself, and let the person know where you stand. JMO

| My personal preference would be that HE call me. I would prefer that he contacted me the next day or the day after that at the lastest. I dont like to be left hanging and wondering..If I need to move on, Ide rather not waste time..jmo..

| I would say call as soon as possible to thank them for such a lovely time. Then let the conversation meander from there. If s/he is smart they'll set up the next date or bring over their tooth brush
