I'm new so I always read the profile just to have an idea what to start a chat with; but do u gals pay attention to what u right cause half the time I feel I'm being offensive when I try to make a connect using what I read in some profiles?

I think most guys that are seriously looking do read and email if there is potential for chat .

"Just a question! Maybe I don't understand the wink concept. I am new to the site. But why do guys looking for someone 30 to 45 wink at someone who is 59???"

A 35-year-old gets the look. At 59 you get the wink. A woman at 76 gets two winks, simultaneously.

I do hope you realize, cinnamongirl, that "le chat" means "the cat" in French.

Have you ever heard of a guy called Neil Young? He wrote a song with your screen name for its title.

Yes i do read them - saw a very gorgeous woman on here tonight until I read her profile and learned I would not ever subject myself to something like that.

Hi Emerald, That is why I asked if guys read the profile. Most of the emails come from 3,000 miles away on the sunny West Coast to someone on the East Coast or they come from someone looking for someone way out of the age bracket they are interested in? I got some long emails from people out West. I love writing to people in other parts of the country but I wouldn't send a wink. Maybe I am too new at this to "GET IT!"

Nice Going, Griffin. They take a lot of time to write on some of these sites and it seems people don't read them. As you pointed out, looks aren't everything that matters.

Hi, dej88. You're the first one I have ever come across who has a Harrisburg address.

Sometimes I like to WINK at someone who strikes my interest but wants them to read my profile before they consider to respond, and if they do have an open-mind like I try to....then age is less of an issue until after we've chatted a couple times; sometimes not an issue at all depending on what our mutual interest is.

Hi Joyschoice, I don't know if that is a good or bad thing. Harrisburg is rather strange. It must be one of the smallest capitol cities, certainly one of the smallest cities in the state and yet within 30 miles we have all three of the major candy companies. Anyone out there like chocolate?? If it was my decision, Philadelphia would be the capitol of Pa. Sorry this is off topic but I am trying to meet the people here that have been here for a while. I am looking for lots of advice and correct me please when I don't use the proper etiquette.

Dej, I think we should stop this off-topic nonsense, because I'm soooo scared of being bumped from this site too, like the other twenty-eight. But I just wanted to let you know that I've been on this site for a very long time: for three days. (Give or take.) I thought Philly was the capital of Pa. It even starts with a p and ends with an a. Like NY, NY, it could be "PA, PA." Papa.

Did you take history in school? Did you learn about this president, who made a speech? They all made speeches, true, but this was really a pivotal one, more so than any of GWB's. And I think in another two hunderd years your Harrisburg address will still be rememberd for that, and not for the candy factories. I personally think that's a mistake, as a mouth is always better utilized when eating chocolate than when giving a speech. If everyone's mouth which was just opening would be immediately stuffed with chocolate, there would be no more wars in this world.
