Sometimes Long distance works out great,
and sometimes it doesn't.

It takes alot of communication,
and even more patience.

My sister and one of her daughters were doing the online dating, both of them struck up long distance relationships, and both of them moved to be near their men. (different cities in the same state) both of them married their online sweethearts. My sister is now divorced from her husband but they only emailed for 3 months, then married 2 months after meeting..too quickly. My neice and her husband emailed and did the IM for a year, then, they did the every other weekend travel thing for another year. Then my neice moved to be near him and they dated for a full year after that before getting married. They are now expecting their 1st child and have been married for two years..so it seems to work for some. Neither of them had been married before nor had any kids. Makes it easier when you relocate to be near the one you love...

Katrina, I LOVED your post. I'm involved with a man who might as well be on another planet (he's 1800 miles from me) and we have discussed, very openly, about moving closer together. He is willing if I turn out to be the right person for him. I'm excited, because I believe I AM!!!!

Also, I think by limiting ourselves to only people within reasonable driving distance, we might be missing out on "the one". JMO

Iv been in a few and they dont work. Its way to hard cuz you have so many feelings towards the person and to not be able to see that person in person really is no walk in the park.

I think there great.............They make you relize how much someone means to u and you learn to appreciate thet time u do get with them. When my husband would go to sea for a month or so I'd be so giddy with butterflys when he came home.

my opinion is nope. tried it and I would go 1500 miles and she did also. But the time between visits and expense of travel are a killer.
