It's 1000 miles one way for me to drive...the drive doesn't bother me (went 3000 miles one way to Portland, OR in 2005 with some friends for a car meet)...but with the price of gas, flying may be cheaper. How far is St. Louis airport? It's far cheaper to fly there than Springfield. But I can pack more in the car...  Oh yea...my tent is a 16'x20' monster. Three separate rooms plus the middle.
