| In the last couple of years i have met several woman who were really cool while i was alone with them. After a while i take them home, or meet up with them, and i bring my son to meet them. Now my son, and this is no joke, is the best mannored kid i have ever seen. He is smart, and when meeting these complete strangers, he acts like a perfect gentleman.
However a couple of these woman (moms themselves) treated my son with utter contempt.
One of them saw that i had my son with me, and just drove away.
what is the problem? why are children so hard to accept?

| I guess for the chick that drove away yes it was too much. I too find it hard to date with a child but the key is to never bring my son around. Its hard but I work it.

| Those of us with younger children understand - if your child is sick, great plans have to change. There are people with children who are older, and they have the freedom to come and go. I have an 18 year old son on his own and a 9 year old. Not everyone is open to younger children or more children in their household. You just have to be honest. I don't fault people for their feelings, it is just a matter of what is important in one's life. If I had to make a choice, I would always pick my children.

| Lots of folks don't factor kids into the dating equation let alone a fuiture with someone else's kids. Takes a very kind hearted and selfless person to accept and acknowledge that the parent and the children are a package deal.

| GREAT POST,,,I was curious about this as well. Having two children, both young, I wonder where to start. Some women do NOT want to raise children AGAIN, so yhat means I need to go for younger women with the same situation. But, they do not want to date older men!!
