Look I just got out of a really beautiful relationship. The girl; was my best friends little sister, I have been a part of the family for over 14 years. She has been the one I wanted to marry for the past 10 years. However she could not stop flirting with other men. Not as in "hey cute butt" or "wow you're hot", but things like she would get and send texts at 4-5 am sayin "hey babe I love you and can't wait to see your sexy ass again, when are we goin back to the club?". Then when I wanted to go dancin (yes men like dancin too) she told me it was girls night but met those other men instead. Why? She even got another mans' name tattooed on her while with me. He was 55 and she was 19 what the hell? Can some one please explain the cause of actions such as these. Or are all women just meant to be permiscuous.

Sorry to say, but at 19 no one should be serious. She should be testing the water and having a good time. Way to young to get serious. Hell if she's even moved out of the parents house yet. She has to find her independents and discover the reality of being an adult.
Hell if I could go back I would have tested the water for many years longer than I did.

Hate to point this out but there are just as many men that are unfaithful as there are women. Most of the time it can be traced back to their overinflated EGO, instead of hanging on to the good thing they have they think they deserve better, they usually find out that they should have kept what they had. Sometimes they convince themselves that they are missing something in their relationship and instead of talking it over with their mate they let it eat at them until it reaches the point they convince themselves their mates knows and has done nothing to improve on it, so it's time to go.The truth is people are what they are, why don't matter and once it's broke there is not always a way to fix it.

I'm in the "not a cheater but been cheated on group". I came to the conclusion that if I get cheated on by someone that the relationship is over. I figure that if they want to cheat they don't want me. I don't cheat.. if I lose interest I just tell them that it isn't working. Why stay with someone if they don't make you happy? I think that people who cheat want a back up plan.. if the new person doesn't work out..well, they still have the one that they cheated on waiting for them. Makes no sense to me at all.

yedjh you are wrong darlin im sorry to say but im 19 and ive had the time of fun and playing around. it wasent fullfilling to me. ya sure it was ok when i was doing it but i was never happy bc i never had that the next day. never had the love i so longed for. just bc im 19 doesent meen i cant or dont want to settle down and have a long fullfilling relationship.

I agree with llama0755, I myself am 19 and had to grow up being a teen mom. I want to settle down and give my boy stability and I want a man there to love me as well. Just because we're young doesn't mean we don't want to be loved.

On to the cheating, I was in a relationship for three years and he cheated so many times on me it wasn't even funny. When I did draw that line and sit and think, there was just not one thing I could have done differently. Even now he calls and wants to get back together because he realizes what he lost, but I realize that he doesn't deserve me. People cheat because they can, they like the idea of not getting caught and the company of other people. They just don't want to say it. Like someone said before, its knowing that if it doesn't work out your still there. People continue cheating because we allow them to because we love them. Love doesn't hurt and thats what needs to be seen. We are getting hurt.

Wow, so men can "enjoy" life while women have to remain chaste?

I believe that your lady friend hasn't matured yet and has the right to experience life. Its not her fault that you have matured faster and are ready for commitment. Let her have fun, make a few mistakes, stay in touch with the family and then perhaps in a few years give her another chance. i can tell you at 19 years old, I had absolutely no desire to settle with someone and just wanted my space. Sorry that your heart is broken but people change.

I cant speak for anyone else but when Im in a relationship I only have one woman in my life. Until there is full commitment on both parts its not cheating. I do believe in trust though and when I find that one I will not be with any other.. I dont know I am different than most. Good luck everyone I hope you find your true love. Hugs to you all

First no matter what they say they have no respect for you or most any one else.
2nd, they have low self esteem usually and in a warped way they cant accept how good you treat them and expect to find someone better.

Thank you to every one that has posted. The situation is different than most. I told her to wait for "us" and just go have fun. She told me she was done with boys and their games. She was talking about marriage and kids and the whole 9 yards. I got excited and started to purchase everything and make plans. Now I think maybe it was too fast. I am wanting to settle down and start a family I was under the impression that she wanted the same. I have known her since she was 8 frickin years old. Also I know men cheat as much as women. It is just hard to believe some one that tells you they love you could hurt you so bad with no remorse. Again thank you to all who've posted and I wasn't trying to be a jerk or anything I swear.
