I think that people cheat because they aren't confident enough to know that their gf/bf really cares about them. They've probably lost interest but don't want to hurt the other person by being honest... so they just cheat...

First off, Intoxication is no excuse. Uusally, I think, its cause a fight(arguement), or they feel unloved, bored, or they want to a player. Whatever, either way, thats why we have all these STD's goin around. Well, a good part anyways. If your in a relationship, stay in the relationship, if you wanna be a wh*re (both sexs) then just be a wh*re. But remeber, "What goes around, comes around"

I totally agree, intoxicated is NOT an excuse, and too commonly used as one and been made "ok" Everyone says they believe in second chances, but I am a firm believer in "once a cheater ALWAYS a cheater" because it has happened to me, where I gave that "second chance" and got cheated on TWICE! When you forgive your S.O. for cheating it tells them its ok to do it again, because you will be there... Like f***ing kids, if you make a one time acception they will continue doing it!

it is true I think that people cheat because they aren't confident enough to know that their gf/bf really cares about them. They've probably lost interest but don't want to hurt the other person by being honest... so they just cheat...the thing about that is why let it get that far if your going to do that then why dont ya brake up insted of cheet...

people cheat for the thrill of feeling like they are getting one up on someone. In the end you are the loser when you cant look your partner in the eye and be honest anymore.
To put it simply people cheat because of a lack of morals

I've been cheated on, cheated, and cheated with(unknowingly)...I know, I know, how could I do it to someone when I know the heartache it causes, but at the time it seemed right...I had a husband who was devoted to me, but kept me locked away-kept making accusations....I finally got sick of it! There was a man who treated me with such respect, and did the things my husband never did, not super-fish-al stuff, but the things that mattered, like playing with my kids...going out of his way to be considerate....appreciating me..and one day that other man said the one thing that unlocked the door "you're a great Mom and never even hear it," my husband had just got through telling me how much he hated everything and left me crying...so when the other man said these things, I poored every emotion I had into him..my frusteration, sadness, shock, love, joy...EVERYTHING into one kiss..and with that kiss eventually came more. I intially I started the affair because of my husband and ended it for the same motive but with different reasons. When my husband saw that man's interaction with me, the kids...all of the sudden it dawned on him how happy I, and the children were with someone else and he started making the effort to acknowledge us...he changed, not himself, but his ways...unfortunatley those changes haven't lasted, but we remain great friends, and because of this situation we now have a open line of comunication and have a stronger bond then ever, still loving one another but apart.
Cheating isn't always black and white, right or wrong but it is guarenteed to hurt someone, and there's always shame..but sometimes, just sometimes it gives you a better outlook and your partner heinz sight.

I'm gonna have to just say.... cheating is always wrong. Don't know how anyone could think otherwise at all. If you're going to make a commitment to someone at all, it's never right to just break it. Then again, my thoughts aren't always the popular ones and I'm against it no matter the reason. Anyone should at least have the decency and respect to break it off before resorting to cheating.

People cheat because they are selfish. They don't care about the one their hurtings feelings. They are all about themselves and are basically heartless. In the end what goes around comes around and eventually someone will do the same to them!
