| Yikes! Mauibabe! Sounds like you've had some rough date scenarios! I must say I was very fortunate for my first time using this DH site. As stated, Sat. night was FUN!! Maybe because there were no expectations.
So - to ALL those here in Hawaii on DH - email someone, see if you have ANYthing in common. They don't have to be the love of your life. Then when you're comfortable, talk on a phone a bit... then if you think they don't belong in the psych ward and would be any fun - Get out!
...and be sure to let us know (respectfully and no names or user handles) how it went!
Oh - if you go clubbing - decide ahead of time if you will go to the ones with dress codes (guys need pants, shirts w/ collars, and closed shoes, no flip flops ladies) or not. Either way - just have a good time! And be safe driving home!
By the way - you never know what can come of meeting someone new.
You might be pleasantly surprised.

| Hey DK - there isn't a meet planned as a group .... YET! A few of us gals have been thinking it would be a great idea, but alas, the guys just weren't posting here. So, THANK YOU for your interest! As some of them live on other islands, we want to get an idea of how many people, figure where to hold it, and this way everyone can make plans.
Till then, us gals were thinking of a local "girls night out." But, that's not in concrete yet either.
What we DO want everyone to do THIS weekend is just GET OUT! Go ahead and take the plunge and email a few of the ladies here you think you might just want to go do something with. Then, do it and report back here - respectfully and with no names - how it went!
A few more of those here and it may start some momentum so we can get a group going.
Let us know how your quest for the weekend goes!

It's going to take a few of us to get a meet going! Let's spread the word. Write the guys here that you think are NOT axe murderers or head cases and ask if they are honestly up for it. And let's ask the guys to contact the ladies to do the same! Just a friendly get together aloha style!
Let's see how many people here in HI we can get to respond to this thread and STATE they WANT to have a meet - and are willing to actually show up!
Also, let's get peoples input on places. My thinking is to have it in Oahu - this is the gathering place - and most folks on the site live in Oahu. I hope that's not a problem for you?!

| Hey ladies, I think a meet is a great idea. If it's a large group, I think a beach is the best idea. Just a fire, some drinks, and good conversation. That's just my idea of a good time. Let's get some people to throw in some suggestions. I'm all for it.

| I agree, but there doesn't seem to be many people interested. I don't see many people posting. I think the northern point of dillingham would be perfect, but please throw suggestions. And if your reading this, throw a reply on here and take a chance. It could be a lot of fun.

| WOW just got back from Kobe"s Karaoke night and guess who showed up.... Willy Ke...
He is just sooooo awesome as a person. I have had the blessing of meeting him as ohana. His nephew and my EX's son are good friends... really great hearing him sing Karaoke.

| I'm game, Beaches are cool, clubs as long as its not with punk pups, they can get pretty wild when they get the liquid courage flowing. Work has got me up close and personal with spooky night life at E&O and Brew Moon.

| Man this weekend was rough on me. Had the funeral in Wainae on friday till late. got up early Saturday to go Scuba at sharks cove with my lil 16yr old 6' 1" boy, then rushed to Wakiki for a catamaran dinner trip package and show at the Polynesian Magic Act in town, was wonderful. I love the Hula girls.. no so much for sexual thoughts, it just amazes me that they can wiggle like that. So to be honest, I enjoy watching for the pure amazement of it. Yes, I watch the men hula too and the fire dancers.. I am enthralled with the culture.
Sunday was church in the morning and another dive off wakiki proper. I am finally certified and wore the hell out. Got home late and talked to the mainland until midnite.
I dont know what I will do today but I am sure its going to be relaxing and boring because I have had my full weekend.
but hey... I am open for ideas....

| I am new here too but there is a hotel on the beach in wakiki.... duh.. lots of them.. but one of my sergeants took me there.. its a karaoke if you like that stuff. I would have to find the name of it though.. *I have been there twice.. its enjoyable and not your average get drunk bar screaming people act stupid kind of place.. Havent found me one of those yet LOL

Where did you get scuba certified from? I'm dying to do that! Heard some schools are good and others just "crank 'em out." I'd like to actually learn what I'm doing! LOL
