| No amount of exercise or diet is going to change it if you take a medication that is causing the issue.
This is patently false, and goes counter to basic thermodynamics.
It may be that one's physical condition and/or medication contributes to water retention (which has limits), and an inability to excercize, but there is always diet and appetite suppression for those that chose to go that route.
All an inability to exercise does is reduce daily caloric expenditure and the ability to build or maintain muscle.

| School...Maybe you should post a separate thread on weight loss and control. Maybe a second one on thermodynamics and their connection to water retention. That way you can actually be on topic and be a help to people at the same time. Put your special knowledge to work for you and others.

Why? www.bodybuilding.com has all that information. (Ignore the "store". I never bought anything there. The fora are interesting.)
I think it is quite on-topic to dispell myths about what causes weight gain: eating more calories than one burns.
There may be many reasons for this, some of them difficult to combat, but that's the bottom line.

| I would just like to state this. Women and men alike, should NEVER change themselves (physically, personally, or mentally) for ANYONE ELSE or to make them happy.
We are all different. Some men or women prefer a heavier person, some prefer skinny, some prefer athletic...no one can be everything to everyone.
The ONLY person we should try to please or care about their approval from is ourselves. If you want to weigh 90 lbs or 500 lbs, if you have long hair or short hair, purple hair or blond hair....there IS someone else who will accept you for who you are...as long as that person is who you want to be.
This thread alone has proven 99% of people are nice, caring, and accept people for who they are and respect them for it. Very few (2 or 3) are rude, inconsiderate, and critical to others for not fitting into their "ideals" of what EVERYONE should be and look like.
That tells me that the majority of people realize that no one is perfect and EVERYONE is perfect. That is why we, the majority, can accept that a**hole 1% of the population and all of their imperfections.

I had gained weight several times due to the drug prednisone which a steroid medicine i had to take for asthma....i went from 120-180...in a matter of two months....but it was the only last option i had....people still loved me for me, because i had the same heart. It did not change. I was still the same bella....But the question i have for you thor is....can people love you for you? The answer is strictly no, because you dont have what it takes to be a real man. Like i said, it stems from what kind of upbringing you had. I feel very sorry for you. So instead of bashing you on this thread, I now will sign off, and I will pray for you. That is the last resort when coming across a selfish, egotistical, SOB like you. Now you go ponder on what I have told you, and maybe you will think what you have told these beautiful ladies on here. Remember these were your exact words. | Hey thor; You really got problems, Not all large women are lazy and many of them are really giving. I've never been with one that wasn't a good lover. It's been my experience that they go out of thier way to satisfy the men in thier life. You don't know what you're missin. Then again they wouldn't have you and your attitude anyway. Or maybe your afriad you could'nt satisfy one.

| well ilike, i type 90-110 WPM, so it dont bother me any.... I am a medical transcriptionist so this just brushes me up more on my typing skills. If he did not care about these women, he would never post on this thread. The most important fact to remember is he was raised by two no good parents who could give two craps about him, so therefore he is going to act just like them. So he is well spoken for. So i am not concerned. He will never find anyone. Whether he is tall, dark, or handsome or not. He has no respect for any type of woman, whether they be tall, thin, large, athletic, etc. He already ruined his image, and that is enough for all of us to adhere to....Nice job thor, im sure your parents are proud of you.....
