| I was reading through a thread and someone asked where do you go to meet people? I thought that was a darn good question for a topic. I'd like to hear where everyone from all different age ranges go to actually meet people. Maybe this will shed some light on new ideas. Thanks in advance! 
My places: The river where alot of people hang out and swim, bowling, the mall, coffee shops, art shows, motorcycle events, car shows, live music events.

| Well I would imagine just about any where. Although yesterday a good friend and myself went to a mixer in another town put on by another dating site. Plenty of Fish. There were 300 people there. I had a blast and plan to soak my sore knees from dancing. So check out this site in your area. It looks like this www.[blocked site].com or organize a gathering of people from your area!

| Although it is nice to try to meet people at malls, bars, rivers, etc like others have referred to here, I chose the alternative route. Rather than going on a dogged hunt or keeping your eyes out for who may be looming out there, it is best to go to web sites such as this, initiate conversations and then when you feel comfortable with them, meet them in a public place. It's true that in cyberspace people can post anything and you could really be meeting up with Jack the Ripper (figuratively speaking). However, it is a way to comingle with others that are lonely, weed out the people who belong in white rooms wearing straight jackets, the men who only want to get laid or have a one night fling and see if anything develops. Although there are no guarantees, it's like playing the lottery. It is a crap shoot and you take your chances but it you do not play you have no chance whatsoever of winning. Everyone says "I'll never win the lottery" but there is going to be one person out there that will be shocked beyond words when they do and they were saying "I will never win".

| Yea I've heard the church thing way more than once, but I don't go to church and that would just be wrong, lol. I'd get struck by lightning. Nah I've actually planned on going back to church and maybe later something will happen. I have been looking in all of the wrong places. I think I'm gonna slow down and enjoy life....and have some patience.

| I think when you least expect it you can meet someone anywhere. As long as you make eye contact and have the courage to go up and say hi. Anything is possible anywhere.
