| Well for one, there is a stigma about calling too soon or often as to appear to be needy. Most advice columns say wait 3 days. I usually call at most the next day or when I say I will. But of course there is always the player who have other agendas and such.

| i agree with ge0, i call the next day. whether it was a good or bad date, i feel u still have to make the call. even if it's just a courtesy. but, serenity, i have a hard time believing a man would not call u back. JMO

| It is a good ? I know for me I am actually worried about what to say, I have convinced myself I don't have that (so called) gift of gab.. Another one is I usually feel I ask too many ?s.. I would answer ?s all day, go figure. I am so unsure of myself when it comes to this dating stuff I have japed out on a few dates,, called and canceled, polite (lie) truthfully. It seems although I was married for more than twenty, I have also been in a relationship all my life,, so I never ever really dated much,, before being married I was in a 17 or so relationship.. J. High sweetheart. I don't know about other men.. But for me it is just a complete lack of confidence. So yes part of it is the fear of getting hurt...
On another dating site I did go out on 3-4 dates, without fail they were absolutely terrible... They were wanna be scammers ,,, So to explain my hesidence about contacting someone, is I do set myself up. Although I know that, i continue to follow certain patterns when I get interested... I swear I try to remember my tendencies in my choices of women, yet consciously I repeat certain patterns, so i repeat certain mistakes,, so this continues to feed ones self doubts.. i know this post is too long,, and not very clear,, anyhow i hope you get the point,,, thanks steve...
Hell, my 5 day  old granddaughter has my number already

| actually its a complicated question with different answers. Not every guy is the same in this respect.Even if some guys think we have a code to follow.Some men may want the feeling of being needed and would like to hear from a women first.I like to call , this helps me determine where things are going.You can tell alot about how someone feels about continuing the existing circumstances.Some guys just have a busy life and could go several days without freetime.And then there are some guys that sleep all the time.slackers oh brother

| This is a matter of honor, character, keeping a commitment and being a gentleman whose word is his bond.
Should a gentleman not prove worthy of his commitment to make a telephone call, how much less likely is he to keep the commitment to "Love, honor and cherish...", "..for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death...." ? ? ?
The same principles of character apply equally to the fairer sex.

| I think most guys who say that an never call, are basically the guys who only want one thing and once they get it...they just move on to the next chicky in line. i have never had someone say they will call and never called but i've been outta the loop for over 3 years so i'm just giving my opinion.

| I don't give guys my number anymore. If they want to go out then they can ask me but I will ask for his number. Had too many problems in the past. I gave my number to a guy and he called me three times the next day. Desperate! I had a guy wait over a week to call me and when he finally did he made it clear that he only wanted to sleep with me. Trash! I wait three days to call.
