WE all planned to meet somewhere to get together and it all PETERED OUT....I believe the guy (Photo Guy)who was handling it has left the site. Sincerity had posted in another thread that we should have a tailgate party in a park....Instead of letting all our hopes of meeting each other go down the drain, why don't we consider this as an option..... It would be a lot cheaper then Six Flags......Everyone could bring there own food and beverages....... maybe we have some musicians among us that we could have a jam session for entertainment or bring some CD'S.... Just a thought.......Give your opinion and maybe we all can come up with something to make this happen...

The weather hasn't been all that good---too cold would be NO fun.It's only April--I'm sure a few would get together when the warmer weather finally does make it here. April weather is too unpredictable--May isn't much better. The idea is ALWAYS nice--please don't give up soooo fast.

We have a lot of warm weather ahead of us....This can be done when we all agree on a date, time and place...........Just throwing it out there for suggestion.

Allaire State Park is right off the Parkway--easy to get to north or south bound. Almost in the middle of the famous topic---the "center" of New Jersey. The only drawback I can imagine is fuel prices---or tolls---or no time---or poor timing. Can't really please all the people---but it is really a fun idea. New Jersey is the home of impromtu activity--think of something to do and go do it!!! Pick a date and time---just ride up and see what happens--at least you tried.If no one shows--get in the car and take the ride to the beach and find a boardwalk pizza place and stuff yourself---the day won't be a total loss. Thousands of people tailgate at college games every weekend--surely-a few will tailgate at Allaire Park. Pick a time and date---put a big DH in the window of your car--wait to see if anyone drives up and says HI---even if you only get the local shore people to drive over to meet--at least you got SOME people to show.

Yes I agree, we have the whole summer and I really do think this is good way of coming together. We just need to decide on a park and set a date and time. Everyone can respond on here by saying thier first name and yes or no if they are coming. Who ever says yes we can email directions to with in datehookup. We don't have to come alone we can bring other single friends or even our kids. It is just a way for people to get together and see where it goes from there. As far as a park make a Post with different park names to choose as a vote and which ever is the highest that is the park we all choose. We do need to start now to get this many people together. Also set a dead line date of when you can respond by on if you are coming or not. When we go to the park that was chose we can all wear some kind of color or tag that say DH. That way everyone will know who is from Datehookup. These are just some suggestions. I think what you suggested about music is great. I don't know if we would have to contact the park that we chsose to partition a section. Who ever lives closest to the park could call to get this infor or we could do it. Let me know if any of this sounds good...........Sincerity

I do think this is a great idea and hope it can really come together. Cmon lets jump on board everyone. Lets have a fun Saturday

Another idea to spread the word is to go on other postings and ask people to please check out the posting for paticipating choosing a park and if they are coming are not?

Allaire State Park sounds great to me. We could start it early in the afternoon. We would have to find out what time the park closes.

If each DH member can give us a Park name with a little information we can try to take a vote on where....But they will have to do a little research on hours open, need to reserve area, music allowed, and any other questions for having a group party.

from what i hear photoguy did not leave the site...he is still around and posted a thread the other day....from what i heard he is still going to plan the get together...he has just taken abreak is all.......just wanted to let you guys know

I love the beach. We could meet on the beach (before beach badges kick in) and those who chose, could move on to a restaurant for dinner.

It is a great idea to do the beach but I was just up there watching the carpenters do their work at my place--the breeze is still chilly because of the cold water. Maybe it will warm up a little in May.
