| My definition of "REAL" is being yourself. True to your heart. Being able to relate with others. Not changing the way you act around others. Not being flaky or fake. Now I want to know what your is. So many discussions talk about being "REAL". What do you feel "REAL" is?

| Exactly like you put it I think. Just being one's true self and not changing to impress people. Being proud of who you are is a big part too I think.

| " REAL" well to me real is following your heart, being loyal to yourself and those you love, respecting all who deserve it. Real can be different to many , my realness is me rather someone likes it or not , not changing ,but hopeing those can respect me enough not to change me but except me. .Thats real ,keeping it real for real.

| To me this appears as easy as defining love. Which on DH is another matter entirely.
But real on an internet dating site would mean something far different to some than in "real" life.
Real here means - being sincere, honest, candid, truthful, lacking dishonesty, deceipt or antics. No head games. No falsehoods. No misrepresentations of what you know to be the truth.
Real also means real photos. Current. Accurate. Even date stamped so everyone sees you have nothing to hide.
Real also means holding to your own values, keeping your strength and self-confidence at all times in stating who you are and not backing down from it even when it causes you to be unpopular with people who don't know you or found lacking by the people who SHOULD know you.
Real can sometimes mean exposing the very most vulnerable and tender pieces of yourself in public, just so that someone can see who you really are at all times, and still having that person treat you badly.
Sometimes being real isn't all it's cracked up to be.
And then othertimes....it's all you can be.
So....Keep it real. If you dare to.

| My definition of real is basically what you said, except for the part where you said not being flakey, of course you wouldn't be fake that fly's in the face of your key word real. Being real to me would be also the inclusion of being flakey, a big part of me is being goofy, and flakey at times, real don't mean one is serious 24/7 or if they are, then they would be very boring in my opinion. I like being goofy and flakey when in that mood, and that is very much a part of me. And is something i look for in others, if you can't show your flakey side (most people have one)to everyone, then you are not being real in my opinion.
