| Don't get me wrong I do drink, and still love to party. The 70's is a blur to me I partied so hard in those days. But, I also went totally straight for about 15 yrs. So I have a knowledge of both world's. One thing I know about alcohol is there is no problem it can solve. And about sobriety, you should never feel left out if you don't drink. Be proud of who you are, and be strong.

| Having a drink or two can certainly be relaxing, whether after a long day of work, or to loosen up when with friends or for a celebration. But that kind of drinking shouldn't get a person drunk or hung over, sick or dead. It's when a person drinks until they pass out, or drinks themselves sober that problems begin. Alcohol is very addicting and will never serve any good purpose in excess.
I am a social drinker. I like a glass of wine (or a beer in the summer) when I go out and hang with friends/family or watch a hockey game or see a band, that kind of thing. A couple of drinks to enjoy the occassion, but never to get drunk. I can count on one hand the number of times I have ever been sick from drinking and 2 of the 3 times were before I was of legal age...lol...dumb kid stuff.
Stick with what you feel is right. Don't drink because others tell you to. Have a social drink if the situation feels right to you, or don't if it doesn't. Only you have to live with the outcome of your choices, so be true to yourself when making them.

| I learned my lessons about alcohol when I turned 21 .
Spent most weekends drinking and wasting my money on people I didn't know and came home drunk and poor .
I don't do that any more .
Well ,I take that back . I do do that some times .
I nolonger abuse it .
