| This particular guy is still in the process of doing some serious healing over his previous relationship. The good news is that the heart can (and does) heal; and although it may take a while, i can't allow myself to give up the hope that one day, I will find another partner who will light up my life and put the shine back in my eyes.
So, I am out here to have some fun, do some healing, meet some of the nicest people you could hope to meet, and share some laughs (and in the process even make a difference as we offer some wisdom and insight to our friends when they need it.). And who knows......maybe you and I just might find each other.....n'est ce pas????

| Originally I was here to see who's out there because I had made the decision to date again . Within a very short time..I was here having some fun ..when I noticed the right one ..and I became serious . Boredom has never been a reason for me to be here.
I am here now, because I have made some wonderful friendships that I cherish...I do enjoy meeting new people in the threads..interacting with people that I have known over the months ...this community of people, has also become the people that both Ron and I know, a place where we both have people that know us, and support us. In my real everyday life, my friends, family, and co-workers, basically think I have flipped my rocker , so as of this moment, there is very little support from them...although I do know, that will change in time. My friends are here..my love is here...where else would I want to be?

| Well, I could actually start with #4 and work my way down the list... A person on another (paid) dating/singles site mentioned DHU to me, and I'd never heard of it so I thought "what the heck, I'll give it a try" (did not have much luck on the paid sites anyway... So was not expecting much when I joined DHU other than maybe seeing some different ladies than were on the paid sites)...but no real expectations. I had never in my life been on any kind of forum or "chat room" or any of those things, and so I was pleasantly surprised at all the different nice people here...and the 50+ group is actually what kept me coming back..
...and even now, after meeting the VERY Special Ms SomeWords, and happily working together on our budding relationship, I have no plans on leaving DHU or my friends here...

| I can't remember who told me about this site or if I stumbled
onto it by accident. I came on about the middle of last July.
Some of my friends here saw me through and supported me when I
was "played" by two different men on here (who are now long gone).
Boy was I naive! Anyway...it just so happens that I have made and
kept my friends, but met my Nick on another site. I STAY because
of the people on here and all the fun I am having, and the things
I am learning....about others and about myself as well. My mind
has broadened and my heart has opened up to all the love and
laughter here on DH. So this is why I am STILL here!
