2nd parents, or bread earning women age 32 - 48, a lot of these women are not married by choice.
its not a question anymore. it has become the norm in the united states, in Scandinavian countries and a lot of more developed countries in Europe it seems to be the same.
except for the issue of down syndrome and other developmental fetus issues, which most can be detected with a test, then the mother can decide what is best for her. there are no issues, as we age, better health care has helped the average population grow older and be healthier longer. again. i see no issue... except ignorance...
there is no longer an issue. i remember 15 years ago, if a woman was say about 35 and she walked a child up to the school, every one assumed it was the grandmother. no longer true today. so be careful what you say, for that 35 to 48 can be easily a new mom.
i have also come across women up to age 63 having babies.
so what is the op's real issue???

| My youngest is almost 2...and the thought of being in my 50's when she grad High School leaves ma a little worried for her. Cant say I would be in perfect health at that age....just concerns is all

| I was 35 when my son was born....not a first attempt....but when he was born. I would love to have another...but is unlikly to happen...due to age and eggs less viable...and my high risk factor in survival ratio. For men....not as much of a problem...that is just for the woman from what I understand. Good luck and wish you all the best.

| Of course I would have a baby at 38......I will be 38 on June 4th, and since when is 38 middle aged? I thought it was 45? Someone got that dead wrong....shame on you.... ......I joke around at work saying im middle aged and they all laugh at me....they said no bella, it is 45....how dare someone say that people in their thirties are middle aged..... My doctor told me if i am going to have more children it would have to be by c-section only because i had problems with my first one....if i am going to get pregnant this time, it will have to be with fertility pills, as i would have to want three right in a row.......make it a huge family......any takers? Any guys want more than one child? Or is one child just enough, just to make sure i meet the right guy? LMAOOOOOOOOOOO....hey im just asking these things....You never know what men are thinking these days.....but hey i love and adore children. They are our future. My son said he wants a sister......oh dear lord....no no no no, i said you want a brother....he said no i want a sister so i could pick on her....

Had a baby girl at 38.
Just turned 40 tuesday, and has 8 monthold twins.
They are incredibly happy.
