| Boric acid is a powder and it is NOT harmful to Humans or pets.
My suggestion would be to take something like a large knitting needle and probe down where you think the nest may be. This will make an avenue for the boric acid. Make many probes around the nest site, then sprinkle the boric acid down the holes.
