I dont think he means himself, i think he means what we think in general if we were to be single for the rest of our lives....cmon people get with the program.....put down your cigs, 420's and beers.........well i have been single for ten years....WOW.... that is because i have not found the right man, or no man has peaked my interest who is stable enough to have or raise a family....yea thats it. LOL.......so maybe i am going to be single for the rest of my life....maybe the single life is not so bad after all....the bars, friends houses, cook outs, flings, dances, fairy tales, getting to play cinderella.......now dont blame me people, your going to have to take this with the man upstairs...i did not create this....he gave me a beautiful gift....a wonderful boy, and if he decides to send me the right man, so be it....and if he decides that i should be single....well then, i could mingle any way i want to....

I have a pretty good opinion on that. I've been single for the last 54 years, and I tell you, I wouldn't have it any other way. True, when I was your age, it was the seventies, when the sexual revolution was at its strongest. I was a revolutionary, ooh yeah.

Whaddo kids do these days? Oh, yeah, iPod and xBox. In my day we never had a capital letter mid-word. I just don't know why someones don't write a relationship- or sex-software. It would be easy to do, and it would sell like hotcakes.

So take my word, singlehood is where it's at, as long as you're comfortable with celibacy.

try to be happy, whatever your status. single or in a relationship. Life is too short to waste time worrying about stuff you have no control over. I think you will have a better chance of meeting someone if your happy, having fun, enjoying life just with yourself.. than if you get all serious.. depressed and spend all your time searching for something that i think, can only exist after it builds up over time.

Man is that a big 'ol can of worms.........

When I have been single, I wished I had someone special in my life.

When I was married, that special person and I changed enough through the years to make me wish at times that I was single again.

Single can be lonely, but married unhappily is even more so.

In the last 2 months, (since my wife of 17 years left me) I have wondered if I am even worthy of another woman at this time, or if I need to regroup for a good long while first.

Having someone leave you can do a job on your self-worth if you have even the slightest ability to question honestly what went wrong. Some of it has to be your fault, right?

The phrase " Alone for the rest of my life" has gone through my head more than once.

The woman I lost was/ is one of the best people I have ever known.

To have lost her, something must be wrong with me.

I honestly don't know if I welcome or fear finding out what that is.
