| In profile where it lists: want more children you answer no does that mean none of your own and not accepting of young children that the opposite person might have?
example:
When you say NO to more children does that mean I am out of the picture because I have a 10 year old?

| I marked 'not sure' (at least I think that was the option) for that question in my profile.
I have three and have absolutely NO intentions of giving birth again. I would definitely date a man with children of his own....whether it would become more would depend on a whole ton of factors, including how compatible our parenting styles and expectations were above and beyond how well we connected as individuals.

| there is the has children option which kis cool but at my age most have children that are grown and are grandparents (which I am also) but to state "dont want more" does it mean do not want to have babies or do not want a woman with children? maybe be more specific in this area in profiles?

| I take that option to mean if you are open to the possibility of procreating and pumping out a new brood with a possible candidate, or not or you're just not sure.

As far as whether you are out of the picture with a ten year old, that all depends on the guy. That is a yes and/or no question all in itself. If they can't accept you for your offspring, then kick 'em to the curb.

| This is a good question because it can feel a bit ambiguous. I think it would be helpful if you had a choices that listed:
has kids
does not have kids
does not want to have more biological kids
ok if you have a young child or children
prefers no underage children
This covers the bases. Although I love children, at 50 years old I would prefer a partner who did not have very young children. I would enjoy being an adult friend to his older kids or adult children.

I'd have kids, who generally live with their mother, and I'd happily date a woman with kids, but I do not want to father any more kids of my own.

| This is a great post and I'll tell you why......I had to seriously think about what my answer would be for the 'want more children?' question. I didn't want men who have children turned off by me, thinking I am opposed to dating a man with kids. I actually prefer a man with children.
But at the same time I can't have any more children of my own and so, I answered 'no' to that question.
But I think it should say 'Do you want more children of your own' instead of how it reads now.......
