| maresleg, I learned the same way. I still have the Red Ryder BB gun I started on, Matter of fact I have all but two of my BB guns I had as a kid and I have the first real gun I ever got to shoot, it's an old 1916 British bolt action .22
When my kids are older, they will be handed down to them.

| honestinlove,
Here we go.....the big bad macho hunters with the tall pick-up trucks ,killer shooters and deer strapped to the back of their truck.
You are a pathetic human being!
If only deer could shoot the hunters, then I would be in favor of hunting.
Doowop,
If people threaten violence ,I do find them comical,as well you should! They cannot find anything intelligent to say ,physical threats are the only solution.
I would never date a hunter, especially if he felt is was okay to let his child join him in killing defenseless animals for the sport.
I would imagine he wouldn`t be a very heart warming individual.
The women that back up this cruel act are just as pathetic. You are what you attract!

| What age? Depends on the maturity of the child and the parent that is teaching.
Teach a kid to hunt and fish and they don't grow up and mug little old ladies.
That is what my Capt. taught me.

| Yeah that's right cate, we do attract what we are...what are you attracting with that awesome pic you have there...it's a choice and I for one will not condemn those who have the right to do what they enjoy....before you open your so obvious ignorant mouth with ill advised, and moronic comments, think first. I know that would probably be a first, but can't you at least attempt to use the tiny brain rattling around in your head?
Think I am gonna take out some venison for supper this evening....

| I think it depends on what they are hunting. Saw something on TV the other day where these guys were hunting raccoons for no reason, just to go shoot something. That was sick. However, around here, I wish someone could go and hunt them all down since they are so out of control that they even attack the little kids on their way to school in the morning.
Yes, my daughter knows how to shoot, well enough to take the head off a nasty Barbie Doll at 100 yards (which is all those plastic monstrosities are good for). So yes, she can use it to protect herself, but no, not like I would want her to use it just to go "shoot sumthun". If she were hungry enough to eat it like my brother does, again, might gross me out, but a legitimate reason to hunt.

| Cate do you eat meat? If so then you are guilty of causing the death of animals.. All of the people that are against hunting only need to go to a slaughter house once and watch the way animals are killed for you there is a reason it is called a SLAUGHTER house..t is a lot better now than in the 50s when i first seen one.. | My Stepfather's son was accidentally killed by his best friend at 16 years of age.
One of our soldiers in Iraq was messing around with his gun and accidentally killed himself.
Theses are just 2 examples, but 2 too many in my eyes.

| I do not eat red meat any more(eight years) but I still eat chicken and fish.I am working on cutting those out as well.
If I had to hunt for my food I would be vegetarian all the way. There is absoultely no reason to kill animals for a sport. We have enough meat in the grocery stores.
BABS,
Something tells me you are attracted to hunters. This doesn`t surprise me.

| I have been deer and bear hunting with a bow in the north GA mountains and really enjoyed it.
I would much rather hunt stupid people. There should be an open season on those. Like my ex-husband.
