| The most memorable lie, My daughter used to eat toothpaste.. well .. toothpaste has fluoride.. a poison in it. I got upset when she ate toothpaste.. so i walk in the bathroom one night while she was brushing her teeth. her cheeks bulging with toothpaste.. I ask very loudly are you eating toothpaste? I can remember it to this day.. her formerly happy cheery face with cheeks full of toothpaste breaking up into a slow mournfull wail as she cried out slowly but with a wide open mouth noooooooooooo!!!! .. toothpaste dripping out of her mouth. .. i said good.. turned around and walked out.. I've been creeped out ever since. I wonder how could she be more afraid of telling me the truth than a iie? How did she figure she'd get away with a lie when her mouth was full of toothpaste? She's 14 now, i still mention that to her now and then. She dosn't say anything just gives me a look.
I know it's no excuse, but i wonder how many people, grown up people, feel like their only alternative is to lie if they are backed into a corner. Do scared people do stupid things? People under duress? Does that change anything?

| I'd been hanging out with my new friend for 3-4 weeks before one of her friends yelled out hey blah.. when you gonna tell blah.. about your kid!
I dont think i'm a prude but i think i woulda kept my distance from a lady that probably should have been working out the problems with her less than a 1 year old kids father. Rather than fooling around with me. So i wonder if that was a lie. I shrugged it off.. by then she was my friend. too late. It did catch my attention tho. I thought it odd.
