One thread asked if you would date a stripper. I'm curious if there are any professions you would consider to be undesirable for a date or relationship? For example, I won't date police officers. I used to be married to one and that was enough for me.

Right there with ya ... anyone in any type of law enforcement turns my stomach.

Sorry, I know it's not a pretty or popular opinion, but true nevertheless.

I agree, katie... I never go for the "popular" opinion, just the one that is right for me.

ge0: What if the professional student is independently wealthy and can afford to be a professional student; would that make a difference? (just curious)

same question to evil about the professional student... and why wouldn't you date a model?

Student.. because I feel a person should be doing something for society.. not just reading books and talking.

Model.. I have before.. they are terrifyingly boring and completely fixated on themselves.

I would not date anyone whose profession interferes with their health, home life, or compromises their personal standards.

Nope no difference. It's like dating a manic depressive that has insane deadlines. Usually the course load is tremendous and there is always a crisis or an injustice in their grades. Very difficult to live with and support. Heavens forbid she be an over achiever...

Not everyone who has a job is doing something for society, and would be unwise to make such assumptions. Models? I call BS. Someone who stereotypes would offend me more than a person's profession.
