"You can't handle the truth" - (Jack Nicholson)

I am always honest. Some people just don't want to hear it.

My grammer isn't that good either, but I can assure you that there is honest people. I'm one of them, but I loose friends because of being totally honest. But that's ok with me. If i had to lie to get a date then it's not worth it to me. I want to keep myself honest so that if i ever get into a relationship, that person will be able to trust me in every way.

You see like a great person.
God bless

I am honest, too, usually to a fault and my own detriment, but there is a way to be tactful and honest at the same time.

Interesting question.

Some people get their feelings hurt very easily, especially if they've been treated badly by a loved one.

Honest words are easier to swallow when they're sweet and tender.

It isn't a lie. I really do want someone that is straight-forward and honest.
That doesn't mean I don't want someone who can be sarcastic and/or witty and/or silly.

i believe that people respect honesty in general BUT the truth is more effective when tempered with compassion. Timing is very important also. Raw bluntness only serves personal pride and just may be a hidden motive to wound and hurt (to me), especially if there is a rocky and or deceitful history between the parties. when you care you want the truth to come out but generally you do not want to hurt someone unless you have a motive to i.e. you have anger issues, or they hurt you in the past and that hurt hasnt been resolved. You know? Just my take.

Having said that my personal experience has been to speak up and out. Indiscriminately. Mostly on behalf of others and ideals that are theoretically given lip service as being put into action but in reality are not. Even then, at times when discrimination and wisdom and timing are not used the truth can be real weapon against another....and requires damage control. Seems all souls have not the same experiences and framework to process blunt truth. maybe they were not meant to. Seem also at times that those who unreservedly dish it experience a disconnect when it is aimed at them. Been there done that have the tshirt LOL

So ive learned and am still learning to speak truth in love, with love, as I would want someone to speak a hard thing to me

sometimes though frankly if a body knows the buttons and pushes them anyway because of their own issues.... well u know what im sayin! i get them off of me. Just being honest, TRUTH (alignment of actions and intent and undistorted realities) is a big issue with me but give it to me the way you want it given to you
